Interview with a Realtor | Cait Banks

Welcome to Bryant Realty’s Blog Interview Series, an inside look at the incredible community of Bryant Realty. Read on to learn about this week’s guest, and Bryant Realty’s Agent, Cait Banks| Executive Sales Assistant to Sandra Bryant + REALTOR®.

What advice would you give to first time home buyers?

To work with a realtor you trust because the steps are complicated – you have to be honest when it comes to looking at home.

Just because the bank approves you for a certain borrowing amount does not mean it should be your max budget in your home, you don’t want to be house poor because you want to be able to have a reasonable standard of living still.

What is your earliest HRM memory?

Going to Mic Mac Mall when I was little with my uncle, and I remember holding onto the back of his shift because I was so afraid of all the people, and it was during Christmas time too, so it was crazy! We were going to see Woody the Christmas Tree and remember it being such an enjoyable experience once I finally got to see him!

What are your hobbies?

Long drives, off-grid living on Pictou Island off the North Shore of Nova Scotia, lobster fishing, cooking, and enjoying everything Nova Scotia has to offer.

What do you consider your most significant achievement so far?

Completing my masters in the commercial fishing industry. It is a male-dominated environment so still gaining respect as a worker and as a professional in that industry was a great achievement for me.

Also, within the short time in the real estate industry getting my skill set recognized by Sandra Bryant and getting the opportunity to transition to a role to assist in her day to day sales and listings have been incredible.

What is your favourite property we currently have listed at Bryantrealty.ca

23 Bayview Cresent, Prospect Bay for sure!

What’s your greatest extravagance?

I like to keep things very simple but eating out would be it if I had to pick, some of my favourite restaurants in the city would be The Mic Mac Tavern, Chaba Thai, and Misu Sushi.
